Rusty Nail Cocktail

When it comes to Cocktails, I myself prefer the old Traditional cocktails over the new “Trendy” style cocktails.   This is what is considered a “Classic Old Hollywood Cocktail”.  It is a post-Second World War invention, the addition of the sweet, dark-brown Drambuie softens the kick of the Scotch, and it also gives the drink a darker overtone that reflects its name. My favorite cocktail, it is not one for the faint of heart.

serves: 1 cocktail

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. Scotch (preferably DEWARS White Label, Scotch)

3/4 oz Drambuie Liqueur

1 Lemon Twist for garish

Directions:

Pour the ingredients into an old-fashioned glass with ice cubes,  garnish with lemon twist.
