Pomegranate Martini

This cocktail is a twist on the classic Cosmopolitan Martini, the addition of the Grand Mariner makes it special and very tasty.  A lot of people have told me that they don’t care too much for Pomegranate Juice, but once they taste this, they love it. This also makes a great festive cocktail for the Holidays, as it’s beautiful deep red color adds to the season.  Note: I can never get my Pomegranate seeds to slide onto the tooth pick properly, so I use an Orange Twist as a garnish.

servings: 2 cocktails

Ingredients:

2 ounces Vodka

1 ounce Grand Mariner liquor

6 ounces Pomegranate juice (such as Pom brand)

Ice

Pomegranate seeds for garnish (optional)

Orange peel for garnish (optional)

Directions:

1.  Combine all Ingredients in a Cocktail Shaker with Ice.

2.  Mix well and serve in a  martini chilled glass,  also good on the rocks in a highball glass, if you prefer.

3.  Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds or orange twist, if you wish.
